HOW IT HAPPENED
• The threesome of Hanson,
Landon Parker (JR, East Grand Forks, N.D./East Grand Forks HS) and

• Hanson scored his first goal at the 16:02 mark of the first period, sprinting up the ice on for a breakaway score following a steal from Parker.
• The Buccaneers took the lead on two goals in a 3:21 span early in the second period, but Augsburg tied the game on a shorthanded goal less than two minutes later. Parker stole the puck from a Beloit player behind the net and sent the puck forward for a Hanson shot from the slot.
• Hanson completed his hat trick with the go-ahead goal at the 12:44 mark of the second period, stuffing the puck in front off a shot by Comishock, following a cross-ice pass by Parker.
• The Auggies gained an insurance goal on a 5-on-3 power-play midway through the third period, as a shot from the top of the right circle by Parker was swatted across the slot on the rebound by Hanson to a wide-open Comishock.
• Augsburg outshot Beloit by a 34-21 margin and was 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Buccaneers were 0-for-6.
