EAU CLAIRE, Wis. --
Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) tied the game with a goal with 34 seconds left in regulation time, as the Augsburg University men's hockey team claimed a 2-2, overtime tie at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday evening. The Auggies scored a 2-1 triumph in four rounds in the shootout following the overtime period.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Schneider tied the game with an extra-attacker goal at the 19:26 mark of the third period, assisted by
Duke Kiffin (JR, Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and
Zachary Reim (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy HS).
• The teams played a scoreless 3-on-3, five-minute overtime, leaving the game officially as a tie. In the shootout,
Landon Parker (JR, East Grand Forks, N.D./East Grand Forks HS) and
Cade Stibbe (SR, Fargo, N.D./Fargo Davies HS) scored goals to give the Auggies a 2-1 triumph in four rounds.
• Parker tied the game at 1-1 for the Auggies at the 17:55 mark of the first period, a power-play goal from Reim and Schneider.

Carsen Stokes (JR, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) scored the tie in goal, collecting 30 saves. UW-Eau Claire outshot Augsburg by a 32-25 margin in the game.
