MANKATO, Minn. -- Pulling away throughout the contest, the Bethany Lutheran College women's basketball team claimed a 72-52 nonconference victory over Augsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg led just once in the game, on the opening three-pointer 35 seconds into play. The Vikings led by four points after one quarter, then used a 13-2 run to take their first double-digit advantage. The lead didn't dip below seven points the rest of the way, and the Vikings led by as many as 21 points down the stretch.
• Wakinyela Bear (SR, Morrison, Colo./Meskwaki (Iowa) HS) led the way for Augsburg, with a 17-point performance.
• Tyliah Frazier (FY, Fridley, Minn./Fridley HS) scored seven points, Sydney Hazuga (JR, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial HS) and Jada Stanford (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored six points each, and Lani Fonoti (SO, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) scored five points.
• Augsburg was outrebounded by a 40-26 margin, and shot 28.4 percent (19-of-67) from the field, compared to 42.0 percent (21-of-50) for Bethany Lutheran.

FOR THE FOES
• Juliana Ewald scored 19 points to lead Bethany Lutheran.
• Arinn McGee scored 15 points with six rebounds.
