MORRIS, Minn. -- With four players scoring in double figures, the Augsburg University men's basketball team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 78-73 nonconference victory at the University of Minnesota Morris on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg held the lead for 37:30 of the contest, with the hosts holding a lead for just 17 seconds. A 12-0 run gave the Auggies a 20-9 advantage with 13:16 left in the first half, and the lead never dipped below four points the rest of the way.

Elias Batala (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) led the way for the Auggies, scoring 20 points with four rebounds and two assists.

Hanif Muhammad (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Breck HS) and
Daveion Hart (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Hopkins HS) scored 15 points each, with Muhammad adding four assists, two steals and three rebounds.

JJ Semanko (FY, New Hope, Minn./Hopkins HS) scored 12 points with a team-best six rebounds and three steals.

Keenan Rodriguez (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) scored eight opints with five rebounds and three assists.

• Carvin Fish scored 21 points with eight rebounds to lead the Cougars.
• Matt Thompson scored 10 points with eight rebounds.
