DULUTH, Minn. -- Behind two goals from
Nora Stepan (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS), the No. 2/2-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed a 6-1 victory over the College of St. Scholastica in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Eight different Auggies figured in the scoring in Saturday's victory, as the Auggies outshot the Saints by a 44-22 margin -- a 36-11 advantage in the final two periods of play.
• Stepan scored two of the Auggies first three goals in the game, as the Auggies built a 3-0 lead after two periods. Stepan scored from
Aunna Schulte (SO, Bolingbrook, Ill./Plainfield East HS) 9:15 into the game, and scored an unassisted goal at the 14:52 mark of the second period. Between her goals,
Emily Schoeberl (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored from
Annika Mielke (SO, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS) halfway through the second period.
• Augsburg broke open the game with three goals in the third period.
Emma Abrahamson (JR, Carpentersville, Ill./Hampshire HS) scored on the power play from Schulte and
Jenna Allen (SO, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic Hs) 1:33 into the period, Schulte scored from Allen at the 10:57 mark, and
Kate Haug (SR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) scored from
Adelyn Milota (SO, Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton HS) and Abrahamson 58 seconds later.

Marissa Paaske (SR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) collected 21 saves to score the victory in goal, improving to 3-0-0 on the season.
FOR THE FOES
• Morgan Mitchell scored from Sophie Parendo at the 5:16 mark of the third period for St. Scholastica.
• Saints' goalie Makenzie Cole had 38 saves.
