MOORHEAD, Minn. --
Peyton Hanson (SR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) scored a power-play goal early in the contest for Augsburg University, as the Auggies opened Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey play with a 1-1 overtime tie at Concordia College-Moorhead. The Cobbers claimed a 2-1 victory in the shootout for the bonus conference point on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Hanson scored a power-play goal at the 6:11 mark of the first period, assisted by
Landon Parker (JR, East Grand Forks, N.D./East Grand Forks HS) and
Zachary Reim (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy HS).
• The Cobbers tied the game with a shorthanded goal in the second period, and after a scoreless 3-on-3 overtime, Concordia gained a 2-1 win in the shootout.
Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) scored for the Auggies in the shootout.

Alex Timmons (JR, Lake Elmo, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) had 22 saves in goal for the Auggies. Augsburg was outshot by a 23-19 margin in the game.

• Caden Triggs scored from Ben Luedtke at the 18:00 mark of the second period for Concordia.
• Dane Couture had 18 saves in goal for the Cobbers.
