MINNEAPOLIS -- In a rematch of last season's NCAA Division III national semifinals, the defending national champion University of Wisconsin-River Falls scored a 4-0 nonconference victory over Augsburg University on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

• UW-River Falls, ranked No. 1 in both the USCHO.com and D-III Hockey News Division III national polls, outshot Augsburg by a 31-24 margin, including a 15-5 advantage in the first period, as it built a 2-0 advantage. Augsburg entered the game ranked No. 3 by USCHO.com and No. 2 by D-III Hockey News.
• Augsburg goalie Kayla Simonson (SO, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) had 27 saves in goal.
• Emma Abrahamson (JR, Carpentersville, Ill./Hampshire HS) had five shots on-goal, while Aunna Schulte (SO, Bolingbrook, Ill./Plainfield East HS) had four shots. Adelyn Milota (SO, Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton HS), Payton Behr (FY, Luverne, Minn./Luverne HS) and Kate Haug (SR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) had three shots each. Defensively, Abrahamson had three blocked shots in the game.

• Megan Goodreau scored two goals for UW-River Falls, with Gracyn Knowles and Madison Lavergne recording the other goals.
• Jordan O'Kane had 24 saves in goal for the Falcons.
