MINNEAPOLIS -- In a rematch of last season's NCAA Division III national semifinals, the defending national champion University of Wisconsin-River Falls scored a 4-0 nonconference victory over Augsburg University on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

• UW-River Falls, ranked No. 1 in both the USCHO.com and D-III Hockey News Division III national polls, outshot Augsburg by a 31-24 margin, including a 15-5 advantage in the first period, as it built a 2-0 advantage. Augsburg entered the game ranked No. 3 by USCHO.com and No. 2 by D-III Hockey News.
