MINNEAPOLIS -- Goals by
Ruby Eskin (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Roseville HS) and
Kate Haug (SR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) in a 1:24 span midway through the third period gave the No. 2-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team a 3-2 victory over No. 10-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College, splitting a key Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg tied the game at 2-2 at the 9:04 mark of the third period, with Eskin's second goal of the season, as she scored on a one-timer in the slot off a pass from behind the net by
Ella Olson (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS).
Lilli Wold (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Tartan HS) had the second assist.
• Eighty-four seconds later, Haug completed a give-and-go up the ice with
Jenna Allen (SO, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS), flipping the puck over the goalkeeper's shoulder for her third goal of the season.
• Allen opened the scoring for the Auggies at the 17:57 mark of the first period, hitting a one-timer off a feed across the slot by Allen.
• The Auggies were outshot by a 36-28 margin in the contest, but
Kayla Simonson (SO, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) had 34 saves to improve to 3-1-0 in the net for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Lily Mortenson scored a shorthanded goal from Avery Braunshausen at the 5:15 mark of the second period, and Nicole Hemr scored a power-play goal from Mortenson at the 10:58 mark of the second for Gustavus.
• Gustie goalie Lily Timmons had 25 saves.
