MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University softball team was swept in a pair of five-inning Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball games on Saturday afternoon, falling 12-4 and 10-0.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Carleton scored three runs in the first inning, then added nine runs in the final three innings to end the game via the NCAA eight-run rule.
• Jordan Evenson (JR, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS) and
Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) hit back-to-back doubles in the third inning, and came home on an RBI single by
Jaime Olson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) and an RBI groundout by
Morgann Paaske (SR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS).

Grace Syson (SR, Oshkosh, Wis./Lourdes Academy HS) and
Megan Gissler (SO, Louisville, Neb./Louisville HS) scored runs in the fourth inning on a bases-loaded walk by Rehder and a fielder's choice by Olson.
• Gissler had two hits in the game, and
Zoie Johnson (SR, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) hit a double for the Auggies.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg was limited to two hits in the second game -- a single by
Olivia Funk (SR, Lewiston, Minn./Lewiston-Altura HS) in the second inning and a single by Gissler in the fifth.
• Carleton scored four runs in the first inning, a run in the second and five runs in the third inning.
• Funk pitched two innings of scoreless, hitless relief, striking out two against two walks.
FOR THE FOES
• Livi Peters hit a three-run homer for Carleton in the first game,
• Sydney Trentman struck out five against one walk for the Knights in the second game.
