MINNEAPOLIS -- For the 10th time in program history and eighth year in a row, the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team has earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad honors, with five Auggies earning individual IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll honors, it was announced this week. In addition, 10 Auggie women's lacrosse players were named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll.

Four Auggies -- Melanie Delestrez (JR, Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens HS), Eleanor Flynn (JR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS), Veronica Lopez Nash (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) and Nicole Schuster (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) -- were named to both the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Isabella Kohout (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) also earned IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honors. Six Auggies earned WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll honors -- Sydney Bainville (SO, Centerville, Minn./Centennial HS), Astrid Clem (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS), Annie Fest (SO, Heron Lake, Minn./Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda HS), Jasmine Johnson (SR, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS), Leila Klym (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) and Alyssa Paul (SO, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS).

To receive the team honor, women's lacrosse squads must maintain a 3.2 or higher team grade-point average for the 2024-25 academic year. Augsburg had a 3.21 team GPA for the 2024-25 school year. A total of 383 women's lacrosse teams across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA earned the team academic award. Augsburg has earned the academic honor in 10 of its 12 seasons as a varsity program -- 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

For individual IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honors, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Auggies have now earned the honor 29 times since the program started in 2014. The IWLCA honored 1,284 student-athletes from 201 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.

To earn WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll honors, student-athletes must have earned a 3.00 GPA or better for the 2024-25 school year, enrolled full-time in both the fall and spring terms of the school year.
