MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville scored a pair of goals in an 11-minute span midway through the second half, scoring a 2-0 nonconference, season-opening win over host Augsburg University on Friday evening.

• Augsburg outshot UW-Platteville by a 20-9 margin, including an 11-2 advantage in the first half. Eight of Augsburg's 20 shots were on-frame.
• The Pioneers scored a goal on a loose ball at the top of the six-yard box in the 62nd minute, then scored on a shot from the top left corner of the 18-yard box in the 73rd minute.
