ST. PAUL, Minn. – Claiming victory by nearly a minute over his closest competitor,
Mohammed Bati (SR, Dodola,Ethiopia/GAP School) opened his cross country season with the 14th victory of his 21-race cross country career, winning the Hamline University MIAC Preview meet on Friday evening at the Highland 9-Hole Golf Course.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Bati claimed victory in the 116-runner race in an eight-kilometer time of 25:19.0, 55 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, Cole Stencel of Saint John's (26:14.7).

Henry Nelson (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) was the second Auggie to cross the finish line, placing 77th in 30:23.1.
• Two Auggies competed in their first collegiate races, with
Aaron Sanchez Salazar (FY, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) finishing in 34:25.3, and
Tyler Anderson (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) finishing in 34:52.9.

Paul Yang (SO, St. Paul, Minn. Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished in 35:13.4, and
Tanner Rouillard-Horne (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) finished in 38:59.5.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Four Auggie women competed in the race, led by
Alwena Brix (SO, Plouay, France/Lycee Jean Mace, Rennes), who finished 83rd in the 106-runner race in 27:29.4 over the six-kilometer distance.

Davi Worman (JR, Edina, Minn./Groves Academy) completed the race in 31:27.4, followed by
Nathalie Hain (SO, Pfaffenhofen, Germany Schyren-Gymnasium Pfaffenhofen) in 36:11.5.
Emma Ryan (FY, St. Joseph, Minn./Rocori HS) finished her first collegiate race in 39:13.7.
