Auggies fall at #5/4 Saint John's

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The Augsburg University football team suffered a 63-0 loss to No. 5/4-ranked Saint John's University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint John's, ranked No. 5 in the latest D3football.com and No. 4 in the American Football Coaches Association Division III national polls, outgained Augsburg by a 624-133 margin, averaging 9.0 yards per-play on 69 plays, compared to 2.4 yards on 55 plays for Augsburg. The Johnnies scored touchdowns on all but one of their 10 drives in the game. The Auggies were forced to punt on seven of their 11 possessions in the game.
• Quarterback Caden Rodkewich (JR, New Brighton, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) completed 15-of-25 passes for 91 yards, but was sacked three times. Tyrone Wilson (SR, Ellendale, Minn./New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva HS) caught eight passes for 52 yards.
Derrick Sando (FY, Faribault, Minn./Bethlehem Academy HS) rushed 14 times for 30 yards.
• Punter Nathan Wangensteen (SR, Chisholm, Minn./Chisholm HS) averaged 41.4 yards on his seven punts, with a long of 58 yards.
• Defensively, Foster Mulvehill (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) had 10 tackles (five solo), and Jax Bokman (SR, Faribault, Minn./Bethlehem Academy HS) had eight tackles (six solo) and a quarterback hurry.
RJ Chakolis (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Hopkins HS) had seven tackles (three solo), and Anselmo Marquez-Reagan Jr. (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) had six tackles (three solo).

FOR THE FOES
• Trey Feeney completed 14-of-21 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns for Saint John's, with Joey Gendreau catching 10 passes for 166 yards and a score.
• Caden Wheeler rushed 12 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
