MINNEAPOLIS -- Recording her fourth career hat trick with a four-goal, two-assist effort,
Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) was part of a dominating performance by the Augsburg University women's soccer team, a 10-0 nonconference triumph over Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Claiming her ninth career multi-goal game, Ponce recorded career highs in both goals (four) and points (10), scoring goals in the fourth, 12th, 17th and 51st minutes. Ponce now has 35 goals and 26 assists for 96 points in her 58 games in her Augsburg career, moving into fifth place in Augsburg history in career goals, fourth place in career points and tied for fifth place in career assists.
• Two Auggies scored their two collegiate goals in Saturday's win --
Lennon Folstad (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Central HS) with a penalty kick in the eighth minute and a goal in the 56th minute, and
Anya Mothes (FY, Cottage Grove, Minn./Woodbury HS) with goals in the 26th and 79th minutes. Mothes added an assist for a five-point afternoon.

McKenna Nachreiner (JR, Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee HS) and
Amalia Lee (SO, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) also scored goals for the Auggies, with Lee adding an assist.

Phoebe Alva Rosa (SR, Jackson, Wyo./Jackson Hole HS) had two assists on the day, and
Avery Rich (SR, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and
Allison Hookom (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) also recorded assists.
• Augsburg outshot Bethany Lutheran by a 24-3 margin in the game, and scored on 10 of its 15 shots on-goal.

Claire Smothers (SO, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) had one save in goal in the first half, and
Addi Lange (FY, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) saw her first collegiate action in goal in the second half.
• Twenty-one Auggies saw game action on Saturday.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The 10 goals scored on Saturday marked the fifth time that Augsburg has recorded double-digit goal totals in a single game in program history. Augsburg scored a school-record 15 goals in a 15-0 win over Finlandia (Mich.) on Oct. 20, 2014, claimed an 11-0 win over Wisconsin-Superior on Oct. 23, 2002, a 10-0 win over Northwestern-St. Paul on Aug. 30, 2014 and a 10-1 win over Wisconsin-Superior on Aug. 30, 2013.
• Ponce's four goals are the most in a single game for an Auggie since Ashley Walen and Kaitlyn Terrio scored four goals each in the 15-0 win over Finlandia in 2014.
