Four Auggies named CSC Academic All-District

MINNEAPOLIS -- Four Augsburg University football players -- Foster Mulvehill (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS), Nick Norman (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS), Caden Rodkewich (JR, New Brighton, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) and Joe Zachow (SR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) -- were named to the Academic All-District Football Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday.

The CSC academic honor is the first for each of the four players. Mulvehill is an exercise science major with a 3.80 grade-point average, Norman is an exercise science major with a 3.86 GPA, Rodkewich is a sport management major with a 3.68 GPA, and Zachow is a marketing major wtih a 3.51 GPA.

Foster MulvehillA linebacker and transfer from Wisconsin-Whitewater, Mulvehill recorded 66 tackles (34 solo) in 2025, second-most on the team, with 2.5 tackles for-loss (11 yards) and 1.5 sacks (9 yards), with two interceptions and a fumble recovery. He had seven games with four or more tackles this season, including a 14-tackle (5 solo) effort against Bethel on Oct. 11, and a 10-tackle (7 solo) effort against Macalester on Oct. 18.

Nicholas NormanA linebacker, Norman finished the 2025 season with 17 tackles (10 solo) in 10 games, with 4.0 tackles for loss (12 yards), a sack (6 yards) and two fumble recoveries.  He had three solo tackles and a tackle for-loss in both Augsburg's games against Carleton on Nov. 1 and Hamline on Nov. 14. In 27 games over three seasons as an Auggie, Norman has 35 tackles (17 solo), with 6.0 tackles for-loss and 1.5 sacks.

Caden RodkewichAugsburg's starting quarterback this season, Rodkewich completed 198-of-321 passes for 2,020 yards and 16 touchdowns against eight interceptions. His .617 completion percentage was fifth-best among MIAC quarterbacks. He threw for 250-plus yards in five games, including a 320-yard, four-touchdown effort at St. Scholastica on Sept. 20, and a 314-yard, four-touchdown game at St. Olaf on Oct. 4. In 17 career games, he has thrown for 2,209 yards on 216-of-365 passing, wtih 18 touchdowns against 13 interceptions.

Joe ZachowA defensive back, Zachow finished his senior season with 20 tackles (10 solo), with an interception and pass breakup. He claimed eight tackles (four solo) with an interception against Concordia-Moorhead on Oct. 25, four tackles (one solo) against Hamline on Nov. 14, and three tackles (three solo) against Valley City State (N.D.) on Sept. 4. Playing in 27 games in his four seasons, Zachow finished with 42 tackles (18 solo), with three passes defensed and an interception.

Under first-year head coach KiJuan Ware, Augsburg finished the 2025 campaign with a 4-6 overall record, 4-5 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the CSC Academic All-America program. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.

The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
