MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University built a 4-2 second-period lead, but the University of Wisconsin-Stout scored five of the final seven goals of the contest, including a power-play goal 1:44 into overtime, claiming a 7-6 nonconference men's hockey victory on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg held a 4-2 lead midway through the second period, but the Blue Devils tied the game at 4-4 with a pair of goals in the final 6:39 of the frame. UW-Stout took the lead at the 3:19 mark of the third period, but Augsburg tied the game 15 seconds later, with
Nick Catalano (SR, Oconomowoc, Wis./Arrowhead Union HS) scoring from
Cade Stibbe (SR, Fargo, N.D./Fargo Davies HS) and
Griffin Ayotte (FY, St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba/St. Jean Baptiste HS).
• The Blue Devils took the lead back with a power-play goal at the 4:26 mark of the third period, but Augsburg forced overtime, tying the game on
Peyton Blair's (FY, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) extra-attacker goal, from
Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) and
Zachary Reim (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy HS). But the Auggies committed a delay of game penalty at the end of regulation, and the Blue Devils had a 4-on-3 advantage to open overtime, and scored the game-winning goal 1:44 into the extra session.
• Two Auggies scored their first collegiate goals on Friday --
JS Pack (FY, Conifer, Colo./Lawrence Academy (Mass.) HS) from
Kyler Kleven (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) at the 5:27 mark of the first period, and
Franco Canevari (FY, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) from
Peyton Hanson (SR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) and
Max Giblin (JR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) at the 12:39 mark of the second period.

Nolan Nenow (FY, Jamestown, N.D./Jamestown HS) scored from Reim and Hanson and at the 15:18 mark of the first period, and Nenow scored an unassisted goal at the 2:54 mark of the second period.
• Augsburg was outshot by a 41-30 margin, with
Alex Timmons (JR, Lake Elmo, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) collecting 34 saves in goal for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Maksis Brimanis scored the game-winning goal at the 1:44 mark of overtime for the Blue Devils.
• Hayden Stocks scored two goals and added two assists for a four-point night for UW-Stout, ranked No. 15 in the latest USCHO.com Division III national poll and No. 13 in the D-III Hockey News national poll.
