BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – For the second straight year, Jack Berry (SO, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) will earn All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's golf honors, finishing in ninth place as an individual at the 2026 MIAC Championships, held from Saturday to Monday at Edinburgh USA Golf Course.

THE BASICS
RESULTS: Augsburg 6th/9 (324-306-298--928)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After finishing in 14th place at last year's MIAC tournament and earning All-MIAC honors as an at-large honoree, Berry earned MIAC All-Championship Team honors with a ninth-place individual finish in this year's meet. The top 10 individual finishers earn MIAC All-Championship Team awards, and automatically are named All-MIAC.
• Berry finished with a 54-hole total of 7-over-par 223 (77-76-70), with his final-round 70 the lowest individual score of Monday's round. His 223 total is the second-best 54-hole total of his collegiate career, behind a 215 shot last spring. His ninth-place finish marks the sixth top-10 individual finish in his 15 career collegiate events. Berry finished the fall half of the 2026-27 season with a team-best 75.1 stroke average and .697 (311-135) win-loss percentage.
• As a team, Augsburg placed sixth in the nine-team meet with a 54-hole total of 928 (324-306-298), with its final-round 298 its best since a 297 scored in a dual meet with Northwestern-St. Paul on May 1, 2025. Augsburg's sixth-place MIAC meet finish is its best since finishing fifth in the 2023 conference meet.
• Max Gundlach (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) and Drew Mamer (FY, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) tied for 20th place in the 45-golfer field with a 233 total (Gundlach 78-76-79; Mamer 83-75-75), collegiate-best 54-hole totals for both golfers. Gundlach improved 22 spots from his 42nd-place finish in last year's conference meet.
• Competing in his third career MIAC Championships, Vince Bertram (SR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) finished in 35th place with a 239 (86-79-74) total, and Hunter Ubel (SR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS), also in his third MIAC tournament, rounded out the Auggie competitors with a 249 (86-84-79) score, placing 41st.
• Augsburg finished the fall half of the 2026-27 season with a 314.3 team stroke average, with four of its five best team round scores coming in the final two meets of the season.
