CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Augsburg University softball team experienced a mix of outcomes during their first four games at THE Spring Games. On Saturday, the Auggies opened with a tough loss to North Central College (Ill.), falling 7–0, and then faced Ripon College (Wis.), losing 5-1. On Sunday, Augsburg fell to Keene State College (N.H.) 14-6 in five innings, but rebounded to secure a 9–6 victory over William Paterson University (N.J.).

NORTH CENTRAL RECAP
In its first game Saturday against North Central, Augsburg struggled offensively, managing only two hits while the Cardinals capitalized with a three-run sixth inning to seal the win.
Zoe Adkins pitched a complete game, enduring a tough outing with 11 hits and 7 earned runs allowed, including a home run.
Aleia Johnston stood out defensively with six assists, while
Jayden Evenson reached base twice with one hit and one walk.
RIPON RECAP
In their second game on Saturday against Ripon, Augsburg put forth a better offensive effort but still fell short, with their only run coming in the sixth inning.
Brooke Laier pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out six, but struggled with walks.
Paityn Pagenkopf had a notable performance with two hits and a run scored, while
Jayden Evenson also added two hits.
KEENE STATE RECAP
In a high-scoring battle against Keene State on Sunday, Augsburg fell 14–6 in five innings, despite a notable five-run rally in the third inning.

Nikolina Opp pitched in relief, allowing nine earned runs.
