LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Augsburg University fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 22-3 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday at Veterans Field. The Auggies' effort included two player-up goals, contributing to their three-goal total in the matchup.

GAME RECAP
The game commenced with UW-La Crosse quickly taking control, scoring the first goal at 14:10 on a shot by Evie Brilz. Augsburg faced an early challenge, as the Eagles added multiple goals, reaching a commanding lead. Despite the pressure, Augsburg managed to break through with 4:53 left in the quarter, when Leila Klym scored a player-up goal assisted by Breya Sawyer. Klym also contributed with two draw controls, showcasing her versatility. The first quarter concluded with the Eagles leading 11-1.

Augsburg's Isabella Kohout found the back of the net at 9:22, marking a key moment for the visiting team in the second quarter. Despite a strong defensive presence by Nicole Schuster, who made several critical saves, UW-La Crosse managed to extend its lead with goals from Anna Millard and Emily Wrobbel.
