GAME RECAP
The game commenced with UW-Eau Claire gaining early momentum through a series of goals, with Grace Schmidt finding the net twice in quick succession. Augsburg responded when Leila Klym capitalized on a free position attempt at 12:38, reducing the deficit. Klym was responsible for both of Augsburg's goals in the match. However, the Blugolds maintained their scoring run, adding multiple goals throughout the quarter, despite several saves by Schuster. Augsburg's attempts to clear the ball faced challenges, resulting in turnovers that UW-Eau Claire converted into scoring opportunities. The quarter concluded with the Blugolds leading 11–1.

Augsburg's Klym delivered a crucial moment with a goal from a free position shot at 5:55, narrowing the deficit. Schuster played a pivotal role in defense, recording multiple saves throughout the quarter, including key stops against shots from Kenzie Phillips and Brianna Scanlon. Emma Ryan contributed defensively with two ground balls. Despite these efforts, the Blugolds maintained their offensive pressure, securing additional goals from Schmidt, Phillips, Reegan Werner, and Victoria Shea, leading 15-2 at halftime.

Augsburg faced challenges in the third quarter, with Breya Sawyer initially securing five draw controls. Despite efforts, the Auggies' possessions often resulted in turnovers, as seen with Annie Fest and Klym. Schuster's ground ball pickup at 11:05 provided a momentary possession gain, but subsequent clear attempts fell short. UW-Eau Claire capitalized on player-up situations, with Jess Stiller contributing two goals and Paige Kiani adding another, extending their lead throughout the quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Augsburg faced intense pressure from UW-Eau Claire, which scored four times. Despite multiple defensive stands by goalkeeper Schuster, who recorded several saves, the Auggies struggled to regain momentum. Schuster's efforts included stopping a free position shot by Scanlon and multiple attempts by other players. Augsburg managed a successful clear attempt early in the quarter but was unable to capitalize offensively, resulting in turnovers that shifted control back to UW-Eau Claire.
