MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University baseball team fell to Northwestern-St. Paul 18–5 in seven innings in a nonconference game on Thursday night at Parade Stadium. The Auggies managed five runs and five hits, highlighted by a four-run fourth inning, while Northwestern capitalized on 11 hits and 18 total runs, including a decisive 10-run first inning.

Northwestern took a commanding lead in the first inning, scoring ten runs. Tony Greco's grand slam was the highlight, driving in four runs. In the fourth inning, Augsburg responded.

Baxter Heino delivered the most innings for Augsburg, pitching three innings with two walks and one strikeout, while allowing two runs. Tanner Lissman closed with 1 1/3 innings, striking out three but also allowing two earned runs on three hits.
Aaron Jones led Augsburg with two RBIs and added one run and one hit, including a double.
