ST. PAUL, Minn. — Augsburg University's women's soccer team played Hamline University to a 2-2 tie in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Saturday at Pat Paterson Field.
McKenna Nachreiner scored from
Kaidin Camp's assist at 83:07 to pull the Auggies even late.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Auggies kept the Pipers off the board during an early stretch, in which the home side recorded four shots and three corner kicks between 8:53 and 15:27. Augsburg University also put pressure on goal, with
Megan Collins,
Mia Kosnick,
Piper Schmidt and
Charlotte Sussman each recording shots on goal in the first half. The half finished without a goal.
Augsburg's first goal came in the 63rd minute. A long service from midfield was corralled by a sliding Nachreiner, who popped the ball over the charging Hamline goalkeeper. Schmidt pounced on the loose ball in the six-yard box and put it in the open net. Nachreiner later gave the Auggies the lead with 6:53 left to play, connecting on a header off the crossbar following a perfect serve from the left wing by Camp. The goal was Nachreiner's fourth in the last two games.
Claire Smothers made saves at 88:15 and 89:54 as Augsburg held through late pressure, and the match finished tied 2-2. Hamline outshot Augsburg by a 12-9 margin in the game.
