Claire Smothers made eight saves against 27 Oles shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Augsburg absorbed sustained Ole pressure in the first half, but Emily Johnson scored in the 15th minute to put St. Olaf ahead 1-0. The Auggies' best recorded chance came at 21:50, when
Eliza Cory put a shot on goal that Charlotte Percy saved.
Claire Smothers made three saves, and Augsburg kept the Oles from adding another goal before halftime, entering the break down 1-0.
St. Olaf scored at 51:31, when Emily Johnson finished an Emmarie Becker assist to make it 2-0. Smothers kept the Auggies there with five second-half saves, including stops in the 60th, 67th, 68th, 72nd and 84th minutes. Augsburg's late look came on
Megan Collins' shot at 89:27, but the match ended with the Oles in front 2-0.
Smothers recorded eight saves over 90 minutes, making three in the first half and five in the second. Cory finished with one shot and put it on goal for the Auggies.
