WAVERLY, Iowa (12/9/00) -- Augsburg College's White Team wrestling squad claimed five individual place-winners in recording a seventh-place finish at the Dick Walker Invitational Saturday at Wartburg College. The Auggies scored 52.5 points; host Wartburg won the title in the 10-team meet with 164 points, claiming six champions.

Joe Moon (Fr., Ellendale, Minn./New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva HS) finished in second place at 174 pounds, while Mike Cunningham (Fr., Austin, Minn.) placed third at 157. The Auggies had three fifth-place finishers -- Tony Davis (So., Elk River, Minn.) at 157, Josh Barlage (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) at 184, and Mark Anderson (Sr., Corcoran, Minn./Rockford HS) at heavyweight.

Augsburg's White Team next competes at the North Country Invitational on Jan. 6 at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn.
