MINNEAPOLIS (10/20/07) -- Lacey Hoover (Fr., Duluth, Minn./Central HS) slammed home a rebound for the lone goal of the game in the 21st minute, giving Augsburg College the only goal it would need in a 1-0 win over visiting Bethel University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer game Saturday night at Edor Nelson Field.
Augsburg goalkeeper Maggie DeGroot * (Jr., Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West HS) collected four saves for her seventh shutout of the season and 25th of her career. She is in second place on the school's career shutout record list; Beth Petrik (1995-98) holds the school record, with 26.

Concordia-Moorhead (12-2-1 overall, 8-0-1 MIAC, 17 points) and St. Benedict (13-3-0 overall, 8-1-0 overall, 16 points) have already clinched spots in the postseason playoffs.
"I was impressed with how we responded tonight in a must-win situation," said Augsburg head coach Mike Navarre. "We got stronger as the game went on and were very solid defensively. We did a good job of mitigating Bethel's attack."
In the 21st minute, Augsburg's Felicia Faison (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) put a shot from 45 yards out off the crossbar, which Hoover put home on the rebound for her fifth goal of the season.
