Augsburg at 2010 NCAA Division III National Championships

UPDATED 3/6/10 -- 10:00 P.M. -- AUGSBURG WINS DIVISION III NATIONAL TITLE -- 8 ALL-AMERICANS, MARK MATZEK NAMED NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR, JARED EVANS NAMED NATIONAL ASSISTANT COACH OF THE YEAR!

Augsburg is competing at the NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships, to be held this Friday and Saturday (3/5-6) at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Augsburg will have event information, stories and photos posted here throughout the weekend of competition, so check back often as the Auggies attempt to win their 11th NCAA Division III national title!

Friday, March 5 (click on links for session story):
11 a.m. -- Session 1 -- Auggies go 9-0 in first round, in 2nd place in team standings
6 p.m. -- Session 2 -- Auggies claim 8 All-Americans, leads by 13 points after first day

Saturday, March 6 (click on links for session story):
10 a.m. -- Session 3 -- Auggies clinch national title, put 3 in championship matches
6:30 p.m. -- Parade of All-Americans
7 p.m. -- Session 4 -- Auggies win national title with 8 All-Americans, Mark Matzek named National Coach of the Year, Jared Evans named National Assistant Coach of the Year!
