Jeff Boresz (JR, Chardon, Ohio/Mentor HS), pitching in relief of starter Bryant Nordby (SR, Brownton, Minn./McLeod West HS), scored the win with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief, striking out one while allowing just one hit.

In the second game, Augsburg jumped out to a 4-0 lead, thanks to Seaman's RBI single and Blunt's three-run homer in the first inning. Seaman went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the second game, part of his 5-for-8 effort in the doubleheader.

Concordia sent nine batters to the plate and scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning. After Augsburg scored a run on a wild pitch in the third inning, the Cobbers scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, including a two-run double by Brad Olson, to take the lead for good.

Andrew Skow-Anderson pitched a complete game for the Cobbers, while Kristofer Ozga (SR, Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Stevenson HS) took the loss for the Auggies, striking out four in 3.1 innings of work. Jarron Farah (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) pitched in relief.
