MINNEAPOLIS --
Kevin McKiernan (SR, Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) posted the first double-double of his Augsburg career, as the Auggies cruised to a 74-46 victory over Carleton College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall. With the win, Augsburg remains unbeaten on the season, the second straight year the Auggies have won their first four contests, and Augsburg remains the only unbeaten team in the MIAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg started the game on an 18-2 run and never looked back, as the Auggies stretched their lead to as many as 41 points before cruising on to an important early season MIAC victory. In the win, 16 Augsburg student-athletes saw action in the game, while 13 factored into the scoring.
• McKiernan led all players with 18 points and 14 rebounds. He finished 6-of-11 from the field and 5-of-9 from three-point range.
• In just 24 minutes of action,
Booker Coplin (JR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) scored 15 points, while adding seven rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.

Matt Carik (SO, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) tied a season-best with five assists, while adding 11 points.
Henry Mulligan (JR, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) picked up a game-high three steals, while adding nine points on a 3-of-6 effort from beyond the arc.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 41.4 percent (29-of-70) from the field, while Carleton was held to just 32.7 percent (17-of-52) shooting. The Auggies posted a 44-37 advantage on the boards and connected on 10 three-pointers, while Carleton was held to just 3-of-15 from three-point range.
FOR THE FOES
• Carleton was led by Kent Hanson, who scored 11 points, while pulling down seven rebounds.
• Joe Thursby added nine points and a pair of rebounds for the Knights.
