MINNEAPOLIS --
Booker Coplin (JR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) continued to show why he is one of the top offensive threats in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Coplin led all players with a game-high 28 points, while adding a team-best eight rebounds to lead Augsburg to an 81-71 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The game was a close and competitive one throughout. Augsburg found itself leading 71-69 with just 1:09 remaining on the clock and was able to use clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to seal the win. As a team, Augsburg was 10-of-10 from the free throw line in the final minute, with
Matt Carik (SO, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) claiming eight of his 10 points on the afternoon from the charity stripe in the final minute.
• Coplin led all players with a game-high 28 points, which included a 4-of-7 effort from three-point range. Coplin added three assists, three steals and a blocked shot.

Henry Mulligan (JR, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) had a career-best offensive performance, finishing with 18 points on a 6-of-10 shooting performance which included a 4-of-7 effort from beyond the arc.
• Coming off the bench,
Carter Duncan (JR, Chisago City, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) provided some solid minutes, finishing with seven points and eight rebounds in just 17 minutes of action.
• Dishing out a season-best seven assists,
Kevin McKiernan (SR, Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) added nine points and three steals for the Auggies.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 42.6 percent (26-of-61) from the field, while Concordia connected on 41.0 percent (26-of-62) of its shot attempts. The Cobbers posted a 41-34 advantage on the boards, but Augsburg was able to claim the advantage at the free throw line. The Auggies finished 19-of-23, while Concordia was held to just 14 attempts, converting on 12.
FOR THE FOES
• Concordia finished with three players in double figures, led by a 20 point effort from Collin Larson.
• John Reiten added 18 points, while Bryden Urie pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
