NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg University men's and women's track and field team competed at the 2019 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at St. Olaf College's Tostrud Fieldhouse.

17133WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Jada Lewis (SO, Minneapolis, Minn.) earned her second conference honor of the weekend, earning All-MIAC honorable-mention honors with a sixth-place finish in the women's 200-meter dash, finishing in a season-best 26.36 seconds. Last year, she finished fifth in the conference meet in a personal-best 26.15 seconds.
• Kenna Bannister (JR, Lakefield, Minn./Jackson County Central HS) set another personal best in her throwing season, setting a new mark in the shot put with an 11.33-meter (37-feet-2.25) effort, an increase of more than a foot over her previous best, set last week.
17131• Augsburg's women finished in 12th place as a team with 13 points.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Sprinter Miracle Adebanjo (JR, London, England/Minneapolis South HS) set a season-best in the men's 200-meter dash, recording a 23.34-second effort to finish 14th in the field. The time was just shy of his career-best 23.29-second time, set at last year's MIAC indoor meet.
• Augsburg's 4x200-meter relay of Evan Bergemann (FY, Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial HS), Alex Pruitt (JR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS), Parker Blake (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) and Adebanjo finished ninth with a 1:35.59 clocking.
• As a team, the Augsburg men finished in 11th place with three points.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Jada Lewis (SO, Minneapolis, Minn.) claimed the MIAC title in the women's 60-meter dash for the second straight year, capturing the title with a 7.80-second finals sprint, after a 7.91-second effort in the preliminaries. She won the title last year with a 7.77-second sprint. Last week, Lewis set the fifth-fastest time in the event among all NCAA Division III sprinters nationally with a personal-best 7.72-second effort, which is likely to qualify her for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships March 8-9 in Boston, Mass.
17126• Distance runners Ann Sheely (SO, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) and Grace Hartman (SO, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) both set personal-best efforts in the mile run. Sheely finished 14th with a 5:41.57 time, bettering her previous personal-best by more than 12 seconds. Hartman recorded a 3.6-second improvement in her personal-best time with a 5:53.17 effort, finishing 22nd.
• Thrower Kenna Bannister (JR, Lakefield, Minn./Jackson County Central HS) finished 13th in the weight throw, the first of her two throwing competitions this weekend, with a 12.69-meter (41-feet-7.75) effort. 
• Jordan Terry (FY, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) finished 20th in the long jump with a 4.34-meter (14-feet-3.0) effort.
• Augsburg's distance medley relay of Sheely, Kaz Shinohara (SO, Tokyo, Japan/St. Paul Preparatory School), Hartman and Allison Mangan (SO, Roberts, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual Academy HS) finished 12th with a 15:42.44 clocking.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
17127• Mohamed Salad (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) provided the biggest highlight of the day for the Auggie men, earning All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors with a sixth-place finish in the mile run, taking more than six seconds off his previous personal-best with a 4:27.39 time.
• Alex Bailey (SO, Palmer Lake, Colo./Lewis-Palmer HS) fell just short of his previous indoor personal-best clearance of 1.83 meters (6-feet-0), set last week, in the high jump, but finished 12th in the event at the MIAC meet with a 1.80-meter (5-feet-10.75) clearance.
• Sprinters Miracle Adebanjo (JR, London, England/Minneapolis South HS) and Sam Rosario (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Eastview HS) both recorded the second-fastest times of their careers in the 60-meter dash in the preliminaries. Adeanjo finished 15th with a 7.29-second sprint, while Rosario finished 18th with a 7.31-second clocking.
• Landon Mitteness (FY, Benson, Minn./Benson HS) finished 19th in the long jump with a personal-best 5.94-meter (19-feet-6.0) effort.
• Augsburg's distance medley relay of Salad, Parker Blake (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS), Jackson Gerber (JR, Grantsburg, Wis./Grantsburg HS) and Greg Miller (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished 11th with a 11:22.36 time.
