BOXSCORE 2 MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University pitcher
Jamie Kaye (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) threw an incredible 13 innings, surrendering just one run, but the Auggie offense just couldn't get on the board, falling in a 1-0 pitchers' duel to Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Sunday. The Auggies dropped game two of the doubleheader, 6-1.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• The first game, which was delayed due to weather and field conditions, was an outstanding pitchers' duel The game featured 12 innings of scoreless baseball before the Pipers were able to score a run in the top of the 13th inning. Augsburg couldn't answer and dropped a heartbreaker to rival Hamline.
• Kaye took the Auggies the distance, throwing the full 13 innings of action, allowing just eight hits and two walks in the marathon game. Kaye picked up a career-high 13 strikeouts, while facing a career-high 49 batters.
• In the fourth inning,Â
Joe Rydel (SR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) singled to center and
Daniel Phyle (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Rosemount HS) put down a bunt single to advance Rydel into scoring position. The Auggies weren't able to come up with a clutch hit and left the two runners stranded.Â

Clayton Bodine (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) andÂ
Walker Rogers (JR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) picked up singles in the sixth and 11th innings respectively to round out the Auggie offense.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Game two saw the Pipers score early, putting up five runs in the first inning. The Auggies settled after the first inning, only allowing one run for the remainder of the game.
• In the fifth inning, with two outs,
Troy Ouellette (JR, Robbinsdale, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) reached on an error.
Brayden Gray (FY, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) followed with a single to center, advancing Ouellette to third.
Chris Steinhoff (JR, St. Paul, Minn./Como Park HS) picked up the RBI with a single to center that scored Ouellette and advanced Gray to third.Â
• Gray also picked up a single in the third inning, while Bodine pounded out a hard-hit double to left field in the fourth inning.
• Matthew Nicklay (SO, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) got the start for the Auggies, while
Paul Girard (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata HS) pitched 3.1 innings in relief. Girard faced 11 batters, not giving up a hit or a walk while on the mound.
FOR THE FOESÂ
• Hamline pitcher Nolan Schoonveld, threw 10 innings of scoreless baseball for the Pipers in the first game, allowing just three hits and one walk. Jimmy Skroch pitched three innings in relief, picking up with win, while allowing just one hit and one walk.
• Evan Bayer pitched a complete game effort in game two, giving up just four hits and one run, with no walks.
