2019 MIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MINNEAPOLIS -- For the eighth time in her career, Augsburg University's Ashley St. Aubin (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

In Augsburg's only action of the week on Sunday, St. Aubin scored two goals with an assist and extended her goal-scoring streak to seven straight games, dating to last season, as Augsburg claimed a 4-2 victory over No. 19-ranked Loras (Iowa). The Auggies scored all their goals in the opening half-hour of play, blitzing the Duhawks to a 4-0 advantage.

In her seven-game goal-scoring streak -- the second-longest of her career behind an 11-game streak last season -- she has nine goals and three assists for 21 points in the stretch, including six goals and an assist for 13 points this season. Among MIAC players in overall statistics, St. Aubin now stands tied for fourth in goals and tied for fifth in assists.

The two-goal effort marks St. Aubin's 14th career multi-goal game, with Augsburg winning all 14 contests. Augsburg's career scoring leader, St. Aubin now has 59 career goals and 141 career points (23 assists) in 66 games. St. Aubin has scored at least one goal in 44 games in her career, and the Auggies are now 40-3-1 when she scores a goal.

One of just 54 players in MIAC women's soccer history to earn All-MIAC honors three times in their careers, St. Aubin became the first player in Augsburg women's soccer history to earn All-America honors in back-to-back seasons, when she earned United Soccer Coaches Division III All-America second-team honors in both 2018 and 2017. She was also a D3soccer.com All-America second-team honoree in 2018. A three-time United Soccer Coaches All-North Region honoree, St. Aubin earned MIAC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2017 and MIAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2016.

Now 3-1-0 overall, Augsburg has a pair of nonconference games this upcoming week, hosting Northwestern-St. Paul on Friday (9/20) at 7 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field., and playing a rescheduled game at St. Scholastica on Sunday (9/22) at 3:30 p.m.
