2022-23 MIAC WOMEN'S HOCKEY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University goalie
Chloe Stockinger (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday.
Stockinger stopped 51 of 55 shots (.927 save pct., 2.02 GAA) she faced, as Augsburg split a set of road games against nationally-ranked opponents to open the 2022-23 season. She stopped 29 of 30 shots in a
1-0 loss at No. 2-ranked Gustavus on Friday, then had 22 saves in a
4-3 win at No. 5-ranked Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday. Stockinger is now 10-7-2 in her Auggie career (23 games) with a 2.77 GAA and .893 save percentage.
Now ranked No. 13 in this week's USCHO.com Division III national poll, Augsburg travels to face No. 10-ranked Adrian (Mich.) in a weekend series. This Friday's (11/4) game is at 6 p.m. (Central time), and this Saturday's (11/5) game is at 2 p.m. (Central time).
