2022 MIAC BASEBALL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University's
Cam Fischer (SO, Becker, Minn./Becker HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced on Monday.
Fischer struck out six, walked two, and allowed just one hit in 3.2 scoreless innings of work for Augsburg in its season-opening doubleheader against
Northland (Wis.) last Wednesday, winning 12-6 and 15-7. He currently leads the MIAC with an average of 14.73 strikeouts per nine innings.
Augsburg hosts North Central (Minn.) in a doubleheader on Monday (3/7) at U.S. Bank Stadium, before traveling to Tucson, Ariz., for its spring break trip starting this Saturday (3/12).
