Three Auggies earn MIAC baseball honors

MINNEAPOLIS – For the third straight year, Augsburg University baseball outfielder Stanley Regguinti (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for his accomplishments during the 2026 season, joining pitcher Austin Lang (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) as All-MIAC selections. Drew Jenkins (SR, Farmington, Minn./Randolph HS) earned his second conference recognition, being named to the All-MIAC Honorable Mention squad.

Stanley RegguintiA mainstay at the top of the batting order in his three seasons as an Auggie after playing his first season at Dakota County Technical College, Regguinti was one of the top hitters in the conference, leading the MIAC with a .420 batting average (42-of-100), with 13 doubles, a triple, a home run, 21 RBI and 31 runs scored in 27 games. His .600 slugging percentage was seventh among MIAC hitters, his .513 on-base percentage was fourth-best, and his 1.113 OPS was fifth-best in the conference. He had 12 multiple-hit and 10 multiple-run games, with a base hit in 19 of his 27 games played.

Starting all 97 games of his three-year Auggie career, Regguinti finished with a .404 (144-of-356) career batting average, with 98 runs scored, 37 doubles, 13 triples, three home runs, 54 RBI, 24 stolen bases in 32 attempts, 56 walks, a .607 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage. His .404 batting average is second-best in school history, with his .607 slugging percentage seventh-best and his .500 on-base percentage third-best. His 37 doubles are tied for second-most in school history and his 13 triples are tied for third-most. His 216 total bases are 10th-most.

In addition to his three All-MIAC honors, Regguinti earned second-team All-Region honors from both the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com last season.

Austin LangLang was the leader of Augsburg's pitching staff this season. In seven starts, he finished with a team-best 4.65 earned-run average, with a 1-3 record and three complete games in a team-high 40.2 innings pitched. He had a team-leading 42 strikeouts against just 23 walks, with his .229 opponent batting average best on the team. His 4.65 ERA was 12th-best among conference pitchers, with his 45 strikeouts tied for eighth-most.

In 36 career pitching appearances (31 starts) in four seasons, Lang finished with a 6-19 record and 5.29 ERA, with six complete games and two saves in 168.1 innings pitched. He finished with 147 career strikeouts against 69 walks and a .286 opponent batting average.

Drew JenkinsIn his third season as Augsburg's starting second baseman, Jenkins finished second on the team in hitting, with a .333 (28-of-84) batting average, one double, 18 RBI, 27 walks and 15 runs scored. He had a .345 slugging percentage adn a .504 on-base percentage. He had seven multi-hit and three multi-run games, and had a hit in 19 of his 27 games played. 

An All-MIAC selection last year, Jenkins finished his 100-game career (96 starts) with a .301 (94-of-312) career batting average, with 12 doubles, four triples, a home run, 57 runs scored, 49 RBI, 49 walks, eight stolen bases, a .375 slugging percentage and .410 on-base percentage. He finished his career with a .956 fielding percentage, with 16 errors in 362 career defensive chances.

Under 23rd-year head coach Keith Bateman, Augsburg finished with a 8-19 overall record and 5-15 mark in MIAC play in 2026.
