Bati extends individual winning streak to three

MEET RESULTS

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Augsburg's Mohammed Bati (FY, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) continued his dominant streak to open his collegiate career, winning his third event in as many weeks to lead the Augsburg University men's cross country team to a 12th-place finish at the St. Olaf College Invitational on Saturday morning.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Bati was in a league of his own once again, topping the 325-runner field by more than 20 seconds with an 8000-meter time of 25:18.5. Bati has now raced in three collegiate competitions, winning each one of them by 20-plus seconds.
Sakariya Hussien (JR, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) was the second Auggie to cross the finish line, taking 79th place with a time of 27:36.9. Bereket Wondimu (SO, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished in 158th (92nd team) with a time of 28:56.2.
Max Jacobson (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn./Zurich International School) and Grayson Harris (SO, Littleton, Colo./Dakota Ridge HS) were separated by just over seven seconds, finishing 203rd (106th team) and 210th (109th team) with times of 29:45.2 and 29:52.8, respectively.
Henry Nelson (FY, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) was the next Auggie across, landing in 216th (110th team) with a time of 30:00.02. Joseph Kubly (FY, Crystal, Minn. Robbinsdale Cooper HS) finished 245th (119th team), clocking a time of 30:40.6.
Aaron Puent (SR, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas HS) placed 281st in 32:33.9 and Sam Scheuneman (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Burnsville HS) took 301st with a time of 34:26.7.

AUGSBURG WOMEN
• The Augsburg women were once again paced by Gracie Johnson (JR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) in her second collegiate race with a new personal-best 6000-meter time of 25:45.7 to finish in 99th place (69th team).
• Brooklyn Conrad (FY, Ortonville, Minn./ Ortonville HS) was the next Auggie to finish, clocking a personal-record 27:13.2 to land in 149th place (84th team).
• Chloe Kintop (SR, Foxboro, Wis./Superior HS) grabbed 186th (102nd team) with a time of 28:26.5 while Annabel Lantz (SO, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) took 241st (123rd team) with a time of 32:58.8.
Tateum Park (JR, Davenport, Iowa/Davenport North HS) finished 245th (125th team) in a personal-record 34:21.8 while Ingri Ramirez (SR, West St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) finished 250th (128th team) in 36:13.5 Mikalah Konz (FY, Bingham Lake, Minn./Windom HS) rounded out the Auggie women in 255th (131st team) with a new personal-best time of 36:50.0.
