TOURNAMENT RESULTS

HAM LAKE, Minn. – Stellan Orvick (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) finished second in the 94-golfer field with a 1-over-par 145, leading the Augsburg University men's golf team in its season-opening meet, the Augsburg Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Orvick had rounds of 71 and 74 for his 36-hole total of 145, tied for the second-best 36-hole score of his collegiate career. Orvick's opening-round 71 marked his sixth career sub-par round.
• Short two golfers in its roster due to injury, Augsburg finished in 15th place in the 12-school, 16-team tournament with a two-day total of 655 (321-334).
• River Goodmanson (JR, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) finished in a tie for 35th place with a 157 (80-77) total. 
• Zach Stewart (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) finished in 79th place with a 169 (79-90) total, and Sawyer Bailey (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Minnetonka HS) finished in 88th place with a 184 (91-93) total.
• Vincent Weis (JR, Madison, Wis./Edgewood HS), a transfer from St. Thomas competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 75th place with a 168 (83-85) total. Owen Goddard (SR, Hopkins, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) finished with a 176 (95-81) total, placing 84th.
• Andrew Hicks (JR, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) finished in 90th place with a 193 (99-94) total, and Calvin Dayton (SO, Long Lake, Minn./Orono HS), a transfer from Puget Sound (Ore.), made his Auggie debut with a 91st-place, 194 (96-98) score.

• Augsburg will compete at the Bethel Minnesota Golf Classic next Saturday and Sunday (9/10-11) at Pioneer Creek Golf Club in Maple Plain, Minn.
