WEST SALEM, Wis. –
Mohammed Bati (SO, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) earned his second individual victory of the season, leading the Augsburg University men's and women's cross country teams at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational on Saturday morning.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Securing his seventh career individual victory in a field of 368 runners, Bati clocked a new season-best eight-kilometer time of 24:43.3 to win the race by five seconds. It was Bati's third sub-25-minute time of the season, and the eighth of his career.

Getinat Asfaw (SR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) was the second Auggie across the finish line, placing 76
th (60
th team) with a time o•f 27:01.1.

Bereket Wondimu (JR, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) was the next Auggie to finish in 28:20.2, landing in 167
th place (120
th team). Just behind him was
Shareef Oty (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) in 179
th place (125
th team) with a time of 28:30.8, a new personal record.

Joseph Kubly (SO, Crystal, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) was the fifth Augsburg runner to cross the finish, claiming 181
st place (127
th team) with a new personal-best time of 28:33.8.

Pollei Buux Caliyare (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) and
Henry Nelson (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) were just three places apart in 287
th and 290
th, clocking times of 30:49.1 and 30:50.6, respectively.
Eman Clement (FY, Stone Mountain, Ga./Towers HS) rounded out the Auggie men in 301
st place with a time of 31:15.2, also a new personal record.
AUGSBURG WOMEN
• The Augsburg women were paced by
Gracie Johnson (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS), finishing in 45
th place in the 299-runner field with a six-kilometer time of 24:18.8.
Aleka London (FY, Park Rapids, Minn./Park Rapids HS) was next up in 205
th place with a new personal-best time of 27:29.4.

Annabel Lantz (JR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) finished in 30:23.9 to claim 278
th place while
Mikalah Konz (SO, Bingham Lake, Minn./Windom HS) rounded out the Auggie women in 293
rd with a time of 34:13.9.
