NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Highlighted by a first-place finish from Mohammed Bati (SO, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) in the men's 8k, the Augsburg University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Carleton College Running of the Cows on Saturday morning.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Bati picked up his first individual title of the season and the sixth of his young career, leading the 192-runner field with a time of 24:59.05 in the 8,000-meter race. It was Bati's eighth career sub-26-minute performance in his nine collegiate 8K races.
• Zinabu Engstrom (SO, Colorado Springs, Colo./Coronado HS) was the second Auggie across the finish line in 49^th place (36^th team), setting a new personal record by clocking a time of 27:05.3.
• Getinat Asfaw (SR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) placed 63^rd overall (48^th team), finishing the race in 27:30.2
• Bereket Wondimu (JR, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished with a time of 28:43.4, good for 102^nd overall (73^rd team) while Shareef Oty (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) posted a time of 29:07.8 to wrap up team scoring with 77 points in 110^th place overall.
• Henry Nelson (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) made his season debut, finishing in 30:59.4. Eman Clement (FY, Stone Mountain, Ga./Towers HS) finished in 32:19.7.

AUGSBURG WOMEN
• The Auggie women were paced by Gracie Johnson (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) in 68^th place (43^rd team) in the field of 213 runners, clocking a time of 25:09.5 in the 6,000-meter race.
• Brooklyn Conrad (SO, Ortonville, Minn./ Ortonville HS) was second across the finish line for the Auggies, finishing in 144^th place (8^0th team) with a time of 27:19.1. Aleka London (FY, Park Rapids, Minn./Park Rapids HS) was just behind her in 158^th place (89^th team) with a time of 27:58.0.
•  Annabel Lantz (JR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) finished in 205^th (105^th team) in 32:31.6 and Mikalah Konz (SO, Bingham Lake, Minn./Windom HS) rounded out the Auggies in 213^th overall (108^th team) with a time of 42:15.8.
