MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Winning eight of the 10 individual titles, the Augsburg University men's wrestling team dominated in claiming the championship at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Twenty Augsburg wrestlers competed in the tournament, going 64-15 with 10 pins, nine technical falls and seven major decisions. Nineteen of the 20 Auggies placed in the top five of their weight classes. The Auggies, ranked No. 6 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III national rankings, scored 176.0 points to outdistance second-place Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the No. 3-ranked team nationally, with 127.0 points.

Brandt Bombard (JR, North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) went 5-0 with a pair of pins and a technical fall to capture the 184-pound title, improving to 10-1 on the season. He scored a 2-1 overtime victory over Niall Schoenfelder of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the No. 6-ranked 184-pounder nationally, in the semifinals, then edged teammate
Carter Sorenson (SR, Lengby, Minn./Fosston HS) 2-1 in the finals.

Ethan Winkelman (FY, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) captured his second title of the season, going 4-0 with two pins and a 17-3 major decision of the Blugolds' Ian Pepple in the 197-pound finals. Winkelman is now 9-0 on the season with five pins.

Nick Alexander (SO, Kaukauna, Wis./Wrightstown HS) improved to 11-1 on the season with his weight class title at 174 pounds, going 4-0 with a major decision.
Karsen Otis (SO, Combined Locks, Wis./Kimberly HS) went 4-0 with a pin and major decision to capture the 157-pound crown, improving to 10-1 on the year.

Wyatt Kaczrowski (SR, Seymour, Wis./Seymour HS), ranked No. 10 nationally at 125 pounds, won his title with a 3-0 day, scoring a 19-2 technical fall in the semifinals and a 5-0 win over teammate
Austin Laudenbach (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) in the finals.

Chance Suddeth (SO, Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton HS), ranked No. 10 nationally at 133, went 4-0 with a pin in the quarterfinals and technical falls in the semifinal and finals to capture his weight class crown, improving to 12-1 on the season with three pins, two technical falls and four major decisions.

Cade Willis (JR, Kansasville, Wis./Union Grove HS) ran his winning streak to six straight matches, going 4-0 to win the title at 141 pounds.
Tyler Raway (JR, Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) went 3-0 with a technical fall and major decision to win the title at 285 pounds.

Jagger Schack (SR, Osseo, Minn./Osseo HS) at 285.

Blake Jagodzinske (SR, Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West HS) and
Charlie Stuhl (SR, Ellsworth, Wis./Ellsworth HS) shared third place at 157.
Lucas Jagodzinske (JR, Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West HS) finished third at 149, while No. 11-ranked 184-pounder
Max Borton (SO, Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca HS) also placed third.

Austin Gabbert (SR, Lester Prairie, Minn./Watertown-Mayer HS) placed fourth at 141 pounds, as did
Jacob Schimek (FY, Eagle Lake, Minn./St. Clair HS) at 197.
Trenton Dow (JR, Stevens Point, Wis./Stoughton HS) placed fifth at 165.
