EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- Augsburg University men's wrestlers claimed 14 top-eight finishes at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Don Parker Open on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Twenty-three Auggie wrestlers competed at the open tournament, featuring wrestlers from 19 different schools.Â

Cole Becker (SO, Albertville, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) led the way for the Auggies, winning the title at 149 pounds with a 5-0 record, including a pin and a major decision. He scored a 4-2 win over Theo Cha of Minnesota in the semifinals and a 7-3 win over Nolan Throne of St. Cloud State in the finals, improving to 27-5 on the season.

Kaden Reetz (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial HS) finished second at 157 pounds with a 4-1 day, with two technical falls and a pin. He claimed a 5-4 win over Moses Espinoza-Owens of South Dakota State in the semifinals, before being pinned by Clay Radenz of North Dakota State in the finals. Reetz is now 28-8 this season.

Brandt Bombard (SO, North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) improved to 15-8 on the season with a second-place finish at 184, going 4-1 with a pin and two major decisions.

Tyler Raway (SO, Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) went 3-1 to finish in third place at 197, with all three of his wins coming by pin. He is now 23-5 this season.
