MINNEAPOLIS -- Six Augsburg University men's soccer players earned postseason honors from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, it was announced on Monday.
Goalkeeper
Christian Hodges (FY, New Albany, Ohio/Tree of Life Christian School) was named the MIAC's Defensive Player of the Year, the third Auggie in program history to receive a conference Player of the Year honor, joining Lionel Vang in 2019 and Chad Gilmer in 2010.

Diego Veit (SR, Vina Del Mar, Chile/Centro Educacional de Adultos Rafael Sotomayor) was named to the 11-member MIAC All-Playoff Team, honoring outstanding performances in the six-team MIAC postseason playoffs.
Harris earned his third straight All-MIAC honor, becoming the sixth Auggie in the 58-season history of the men's soccer program to be a three-time All-MIAC honoree, joining Jim Agre (1969, 1970, 1971), Darcy Debing (1974, 1975, 1976), Mark Anderson (1978, 1979, 1980), James See (2006, 2007, 2008) and Chad Gilmer (2010, 2011, 2012). Munzing was named as an All-MIAC selection in 2023 and an All-MIAC Honorable Mention honoree last year. It is the first conference honors for Hodges Richter, Tierney and Veit.

Hodges has had one of the best seasons for a goalkeeper in Augsburg history. Playing in all but 19:35 of the team's 1,800 minutes this season, Hodges has a 16-2-2 record with a 0.71 goals-against average, 84 saves (.857 save percentage) and 12 shutouts, setting an Augsburg single-season school record for goalkeeper wins and tying the record for shutouts. His 0.71 GAA is tied for 11th in school history, and his .857 save percentage is sixth-best. He had a 1.10 GAA, .780 save percentage and 39 saves in conference play. Overall, his 0.71 GAA is second-best among MIAC goalkeepers, with his .857 save percentage tops and 84 saves tied for second-most. Among NCAA Division III goalkeepers nationally, his 12 shutouts are tied for the most.Â

Harris' collegiate career came to an end with an injury suffered 13 games into the season, but he was still able to compile seven goals and two assists for 16 points, playing in 796 minutes (61.2 minutes per-game). He recorded his second career hat trick with a three-goal effort, on four shots on-goal, in the Auggies' 4-1 win over Saint Mary's on Sept. 20. He had a goal or assist in six of his 13 games played. In his 65-game career (4,148 minutes played, 63.8 minutes per-game), Harris scored 28 goals with 28 assists for 84 points -- seventh in school history in goals, second in assists and fourth in total points. He had eight game-winning goals in his career.

A dynamic playmaker as a center midfielder, Munzing has scored eight goals with nine assists for 25 points this season, starting all 20 games (1,232 minutes, 61.6 minutes per-game) with four game-winning goals. He has claimed a goal or assist in 12 of his 20 games this season, including a two-goal effort in the Auggies' 7-0 win over Northwestern-St. Paul on Sept. 3. In his 68-game career (3,631 minutes, 53.4 minutes per-game), Munzing has scored 29 goals with 27 assists for 85 points, with seven game-winning goals. He is tied for fifth in school history in career goals, third in assists and third in total points.Â

Richter has been a strong presence in Augsburg's backfield, as the defense has allowed just 14 goals this season, a 0.70 GAA that is tops in the MIAC and 28th in the NCAA Division III national rankings. Richter has started all 20 games this season, playing in 1,660 minutes (83.0 minutes per-game), scoring two goals with two assists for six points on eight shots on-goal. In his 77 career games at Augsburg (5,214 minutes, 67.7 minutes per-game), Richter has scored 11 goals with six assists for 28 points on 30 shots on-goal.Â

A transfer who played last season at Division I Mercyhurst (Pa.) and his first two seasons across the Twin Cities at St. Thomas, Tierney became one of the top scorers in Division III soccer this season, scoring 17 goals (six game-winning goals) with five assists for 39 points on 42 shots on-goal in 20 starts (1,408 minutes, 70.4 minutes per-game). Tierney is currently second in goals scored and total points among MIAC players, and tied for ninth among NCAA Division III players nationally in total goals, tied for 12th in total points, tied for fourth in game-winning goals, tied for 18th in goals per-game and 21st in points per-game. He has a goal or assist in 11 of his 20 games, with four multi-goal games, including a four-goal effort in the Auggies' 9-0 win over Linfield on Aug. 31 and a three-goal hat trick in the Auggies' 7-0 win over Northwestern-St. Paul on Sept. 3. In his 55 career collegiate games (2,468 minutes, 44.9 minutes per-game), Tierney has scored 21 goals with seven assists for 49 points on 53 shots on-goal, with eight game-winning goals.

Veit earned All-MIAC Playoff Team honors for his efforts in the Auggies' 2-1 MIAC Playoff semifinal loss to Saint John's on Nov. 3. The 2025 season has been a breakout year for Veit, who has played in 19 games (864 minutes, 45.5 minutes per-game), with his playing time increasing as the season has progressed. Veit has scored five goals with five assists for 15 points on 18 shots on-goal, with a goal or assist in seven of his 19 games. In 36 games in his Auggie career (1,614 minutes, 44.8 minutes per-game), Veit has eight goals with eight assists for 24 points on 29 shots on-goal. Including his first two seasons at Barton Community College (Kan.), Veit has played in 67 career games, with 12 goals and 11 assists for 35 points.
Under 22nd-year head coachÂ
Greg Holker, Augsburg has had one of the best seasons in school history in 2025, entering its fourth-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III national tournament with a 16-2-2 record, finishing 7-1-2 in MIAC play. The Auggies will host Occidental (Calif.) in a first-round NCAA tournament game on Saturday (11/15) at 11 a.m. at Edor Nelson Field.
