EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- Claiming titles in three weight classes and 13 placewinners, the Augsburg University men's wrestling team competed at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Don Parker Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Twenty-three Auggie wrestlers, primarily varsity reserves, competed at the tournament, going 66-36 on the day with 15 pins, nine technical falls and nine major decisions. Thirteen Auggies claimed top-six finishes.
• Ethan Winkelman (FY, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) dominated the 197-pound weight class, opening with a major decision, then recording three third-period technical falls to claim the title, improving to 22-2 on the season with 10 pins, four technical falls and six major decisions.
• Karson Casper (JR, Coleman, Wis./Coleman HS) and Lucas Jagodzinske (JR, Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West HS) shared the title at 149 pounds, with Casper going 3-0 with a pin, and Jagodzinske going 3-0 with a pin and major decision.
• Charlie Stuhl (SR, Ellsworth, Wis./Ellsworth HS) and Blake Jagodinske (SR, Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West HS) shared the title at 157 pounds. Stuhl went 4-0 with a pin, technical fall and major decision, and Jagodzinske went 3-0 with a technical fall and major decision.
• Keno Vanier (JR, Edina, Minn./Richfield HS) went 2-1 to finish in second place at 125 pounds.
• Finishing third for the Auggies were Brady Swenson (FY, Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) at 157, Nick Alexander (SO, Kaukauna, Wis./Wrightstown HS) at 174 and Jagger Schack (SR, Osseo, Minn./Osseo HS) at 285.
• Cole Becker (JR, Albertville, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) placed fourth at 141, and Thomas Oswald (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) placed fifth at 133.
• Cade Willis (JR, Kansasville, Wis./Union Grove HS) placed sixth at 141, as did Max Sokolski (SR, Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel HS) at 184.

• Augsburg hosts Concordia College-Moorhead in a dual meet next Saturday (2/15) at 4 p.m. at Si Melby Hall.
