Augsburg baseball competes in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Augsburg University baseball team competed in eight varsity games during the last week at the Tucson Invitational Games, going 1-7.

THE BASICS
LOCATION: Kino Sports Complex, Tucson, Ariz.
RECORDS: Augsburg 6-8 overall

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Leadoff hitter Stanley Regguinti (JR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) led the way for the Auggie regulars during the week in Arizona, hitting .455 (5-of-33) with five doubles, four triples, five RBI, 10 runs scored, six walks, an .848 slugging percentage and a .537 on-base percentage. He also had two stolen bases on the week. He had hits in all eight games on the week, going 3-for-3 against Crown and 2-for-3 against Wesleyan (Conn.) on Saturday, and went 4-for-5 against Hamline on Wednesday and 2-for-5 against Texas-Dallas on Thursday.
• Jorda Sivoravong (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) hit .409 on the week (9-of-22) with two doubles, six RBI, eight runs scored, four walks, a .500 slugging percentage and .483 on-base percentage on the week. He went 3-for-3 against Crown and 3-for-3 against Hamline.
• Davis Wick (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) hit .429 (9-of-21) on the week, with a double, two RBI, four runs scored, a .476 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage, also contributing two stolen bases.
Andruw Vela (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) hit .313 (10-of-32) on the week with a team-best 10 RBI. He scored eight runs, hit two doubles, had five walks, a .375 slugging percentage and .400 on-base percentage.
Drew Jenkins (JR, Farmington, Minn./Randolph HS) and Tyson LaPoint (SO, Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake HS) had seven hits each on the week, with Jenkins hitting two doubles, scoring five runs and adding three RBI, and LaPoint hitting a double, scoring two runs and driving in four.
Josh Udelhofen (SR, Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig HS) and Elijah Stewart (FY, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) had six hits each on the week, and Aaron Jones (SO, Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista HS) had five hits, with four doubles, eight RBI and four runs scored. 
• On the pitching mound, Austin Lang (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) went 1-1 on the week, striking out six in 8.0 innings of work. Vincent Rupp (JR, Salt Lake City, Utah, Skyline HS) had six strikeouts in nine innings of pitching.
Dylan Adams (SR, Windermere, Fla./Windermere Preparatory School) had seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings, and Manny Weiss (JR, Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar HS) had five strikeouts in 8.0 innings.
