Three Auggies named to CSC Academic All-District team

MINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg University baseball players Nick Hubbard (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS), Austin Lang (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) and Josh Udelhofen (SR, Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig HS) were named to the Academic All-District Baseball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday.

Hubbard is an exercise science major with a 3.81 grade-point average, Lang is a marketing major with a 3.70 GPA, and Udelhofen is a marketing major with a 3.81 GPA. It's the second straight Academic All-District selection for Lang and Udelhofen, and the first for Hubbard. All three will earn Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors this season -- Hubbard and Udelhofen for the third time in their careers, and Lang for the second time.

Nick HubbardAugsburg's primary third baseman, Hubbard hit .306 (26-of-85) in 32 games (29 starts) this season, scoring 15 runs. He had six doubles, two triples and two home runs this season, to go along with 12 RBI, seven walks and a stolen base. He compiled a .494 slugging percentage, .381 on-base percentage and .875 OPS this season. Hubbard had seven multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI games this season, with at least one hit in 17 of his 32 games. He had a .920 fielding percentage, with six errors in 75 defensive chances.

In 45 career games (33 starts) in three seasons at Augsburg, Hubbard has a .262 (28-of-107) career batting average, with six doubles, two triples, two home runs, 12 RBI, 16 runs scored, eight walks, a .411 slugging percentage and .339 on-base percentage.

Austin LangA pitcher, Lang pitched in 10 games (nine starts) this season, Lang had a 2-5 record with a 6.15 earned-run average, pitching in 45.1 innings with 32 strikeouts against 19 walks and a .307 opponent batting average. At the plate in 18 games, he hit .161 (5-of-31) with a double, run scored and four RBI.

In 29 career pitching appearances (24 starts), Lang has a 5-16 record and 5.50 ERA. Pitching in 127.2 career innings, he has 102 strikeouts against 46 walks and a .302 opponent batting average. As a hitter in 47 career games (41 starts), Lang has a .268 career batting average (26-of-97), with three doubles, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored, eight walks, a .299 slugging percentage and .336 on-base percentage.

Josh UdelhofenA first baseman and designated hitter, Udelhofen hit .259 (29-of-112) in 34 games (30 starts) this season, with seven doubles, 23 RBI, 15 runs scored, eight walks, a .321 slugging percentage, .306 on-base percentage and .627 OPS. He had six multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games, with at least one hit in 20 of his 34 games. He also had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, with no errors in 110 defensive chances.

In 61 career games (55 starts) as an Auggie, Udelhofen hit .266 (51-of-192) with 13 doubles, 35 RBI, 16 walks, 24 runs scored, a .333 slugging percentage and .323 on-base percentage. He finished his career with a .986 fielding percentage, with four errors in 283 defensive chances.

Under 22nd-year head coach Keith Bateman, Augsburg finished with a 16-23 overall record and 8-12 MIAC mark in 2025.

The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the CSC Academic All-America program. Nominated by athletic communication professionals at their schools, student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Select Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Baseball Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 1.

The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
