2025 MIAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MINNEAPOLIS -- For the eighth time in his career and third time this season, Augsburg University men's cross country runner Mohammed Bati (SR, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.

At Saturday's Hamline MIAC Preview meet at the Highland 9-Hole Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn., Bati claimed the 14th victory of his 21-race cross country career, winning the 116-runner race in an eight-kilometer time of 25:19.0, 55 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, Cole Stencel of Saint John's (26:14.7). It was the seventh win in his last eight races for Bati, who has won three straight MIAC individual titles and finished second at last year's NCAA Division III national championships.

Augsburg competes at the St. Olaf College Invitational this Saturday (9/20) at 10 a.m. in Northfield, Minn.
