Berry leads Auggies at Saint John's

SARTELL, Minn. – Jack Berry (FY, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) shot a two-day total of 153, leading Augsburg University's men's golf team at the Saint John's University Invitational, held on Saturday and Sunday.

RESULTS: Augsburg 17th/19 (321-313--634)
LOCATION: St. Cloud CC, St. Cloud, Minn. (Par 72, 6,676 yards); Blackberry Ridge GC, Sartell, Minn. (Par 72, 6,992 yards)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Berry shot an 82 in the first round, held at the St. Cloud (Minn.) Country Club, and a 71 in Sunday's second round, held at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell, Minn. His 71 was his second-best single round so far this season. He finished with a 153 total, good for a tie for 46th place in the 119-golfer field.
• Zachary Reim (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) and Hunter Ubel (JR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) tied for 61st place with 156 totals (Reim 76-80, Ubel 77-79, competing as an individual).
• Max Gundlach (SO, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) shot 161 (79-82), Nick Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) shot 164 (80-84) and Vince Bertram (JR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) shot 167 (85-82)
• Competing as individuals, Logan Gravink (SO, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) shot 167 (83-84) and Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) shot 180 (91-89). 
• As a team, Augsburg finished in 17th place in the 14-school, 19-team tournament with a total of 634 (321-313).
