2025 MIAC MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University men's soccer goalkeeper
Christian Hodges (FY, New Albany, Ohio/Tree of Life Christian School) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week on Defense, it was announced on Monday.
Hodges stopped all 13 shots he faced in three shutout victories for Augsburg in the past week, keeping the Auggies unbeaten and unscored upon in five victories to open the season. He had two saves in 70 minutes in the
Auggies' 7-0 win over Northwestern-St. Paul on Wednesday. On Friday, he had two saves in the
Auggies' 2-0 win at Luther (Iowa), and stared down a penalty kick attempt that hit the crossbar in the 32nd minute. On Sunday, he had a season-high nine saves in a
1-0 home win over Wartburg (Iowa), including a pair of dramatic, diving saves on a penalty kick attempt three minutes into the second half.
On the season, Hodges is 5-0-0 with 15 saves, no goals allowed and four individual shutouts.
Augsburg hosts the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a nonconference matchup on Wednesday (9/10) at 5 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field.
