
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University forward
Nolan Nenow (FY, Jamestown, N.D./Jamestown HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week on offense, it was announced on Monday.
Nenow had a seven-point weekend, scoring five goals with two assists, as Augsburg swept Lake Forest College (Ill.) in a nonconference series. On Friday, Nenow collected his first collegiate hat trick, scoring a goal in the second period and two goals in the third period in the
Auggies' 8-4 victory. On Saturday, he scored a power-play and shorthanded goal, and assisted on two other goals, in the
Auggies' 10-2 victory.
Nenow's seven-point weekend pushed him to 11 points (eight goals, three assists) in his inaugural college campaign.
Now 5-6-2 overall and 2-3-1 in MIAC play, Augsburg hosts a pair of Wisconsin schools in nonconference play this upcoming weekend at Ed Saugestad Rink. On Friday (1/9) at 7 p.m., the Auggies host Wisconsin-Stout, and on Saturday (1/10) at 7 p.m., the Auggies host Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
