Auggies score spring invite win over Saints

FOREST LAKE, Minn. – The Augsburg University men's golf team opened the spring half of the 2025-26 season with a victory over the College of St. Scholastica in the Auggies' Spring Invitational, held on Sunday and Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jack Berry (FY, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) paced the Auggies in the two-day meet, shooting a 36-hole total of 153 (79-74) to earn medalist honors at the 16-player event.
• As a team, Augsburg scored 624 (315-309) to top St. Scholastica's 653 (336-317) score. Augsburg's second-round 309 was tied for its third-best 18-hole score of the season.
• Max Gundlach (SO, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) and Zachary Reim (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) each shot 158 (Gundlach 76-82, Reim 81-77) to tie for second place, and Hunter Ubel (JR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) placed fifth with a 166 (79-87) score.
Vince Bertram (JR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) shot 166 (79-87) to tie for eighth place, and Nick Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) shot 167 (83-84) to tie for 11th.
• Competing as individuals, Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) shot 176 (88-88) and Logan Gravink (SO, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) shot 181 (88-93)

• Augsburg competes next Saturday and Sunday (4/18-19) at the Gustavus Adolphus College Spring Invitational, held at the New Prague (Minn.) Golf Club and the Le Sueur (Minn.) Country Club.
